Submit a “Dear SQL DBA” Question

Dear_DBA_LittleKendraIf you’re a Database Administrator, or someone who works with one, I know you’ve got questions. Burning questions.

Good news! I’ve got answers for all the problems ointment doesn’t solve. Submit your questions here to be covered in an upcoming episode of “Dear DBA”. That’s right, an episode. You can be famous! At least, in an anonymous way. No question is too big, too small, or too weird*.

Feel free to be technical… or not.

This form requires you to submit your email, but you will remain anonymous to everyone but me. (Hi, I’m Kendra.) Please do give a valid email, just in case I need to clarify your question.

Example question:

Dear SQL DBA,

Every time I ask our lead developer to do something, she’s very rude. She just says no. But every time she asks me to do something, I’m expected to do it right away by my manager.

How do I change this?

* I’m not foolish enough to promise I’ll read every question out loud. You know why. Questions may be tweaked, prodded, and reworded to make them easier to read or to protect the identities of those involved.

  • Your email is required just in case I need to clarify your question with you. Your question will be read anonymously and your identity will be protected with all my might.
  • Your name is optional. Knowing it helps keep any emails I send you out of your spam folder.
